1.
Go Bold or Go Home!
If you’re wanting a bold-looking space, make sure that you
dedicate yourself to the look and go for it!
The best way to style a bold decorative space is to fully
commit to the bold colour scheme as well as patterns and make sure that you
work with it.
By only committing to one area of bold colours or
contrasting colours- such as a very bold wallpaper and everything else very
neutral and plain- the room can look quite unbalanced.
If you’re wanting a bold space, choose the colours you want
and stick to them, it’s the best way to make your decorating look consistent as
well as keeping the space looking as bold and beautiful as you want it to look.
No looking back, go bold or go home!

Balance is beautiful!
Balancing your bold colours and/or patterns with a more
tempered colour is a fab way to have a bold space which doesn’t feel too
chaotic or cluttered!
One of the best ways to choose a colour which will match
your bold choice is to go with a similar tone in your colour.
This means that for example, if you choose a rich warm navy-blue
colour, you should choose a similarly rich and warm shade to work with this
colour- preferably one which is lighter in colour.
This balancing act can really work in your favour when it
comes to accessories too!
If you’re unsure about whether an accessory which you
have chosen will work, you can simply go with a tone which is like your secondary
chosen colour which will work perfectly in a bold space!

3.
Inject colour with your accessories
One of the best ways to experiment with bold colours is to
firstly experiment with bold accessories before taking the plunge and painting
and/or wallpapering your walls with bold patterns and colours.
This way, not only can you experiment with the actual
colours that you may want to paint with, but it is also a very easy way of
achieving a bold look without having to commit to a certain colour scheme as a
result of your wallpapering and/ or paint either.
The best way to do this is to group your bold colours
together. Rather than scattering colours all over the space, you can use your
accessories as a way of experimenting with colour in different parts of the
room, therefore balancing out the colour scheme at the same time!

4.
Use bright colours combined with a dark
backdrop (or the other way around!)
A brilliant way of adding bold colours into your spaces is
to contrast them with a dark backdrop (or use a bold backdrop with a dark
foreground colour).
This is because a darker background can really make the bold
colour pop as well as making the entire space look much more modern and well
thought-out too.
The darker shade can be almost any colour you like; however
you must ensure that it is either a colour that dramatically contrasts, or
works very well with the darker colour in order for there to be a bold
distinction between the two colours.
For example, if you are using a dark navy-blue colour as
your background, perhaps using a bolder yellow would be a good contrast. Nit
only will this make the yellow pop, but it will also ensure that your navy blue
will not darken the whole space either.
This means that you must ensure that you choose your
care and with consideration too in order to ensure that your space looks
balanced and with the right amount of light that you will need.

Choose a feature piece and work around
that
If you’re unsure of where to even begin styling your
beautiful bold colours, you can always go out and find the perfect statement
piece for your spaces and work around that.
For example, say you have fallen in love with a bright
yellow sofa, by choosing to purchase this, you can then find the bold and
brilliant colours which will work around this central statement piece such as
navy blues and greens.
Rather than choosing the colours for your walls first, your a statement piece can be the central design of your room, making sure that the
decorating around it works with this bold central statement piece, rather than
the other way around.
This will not only help you choose a bold colour, but it
will also ensure that the decorating, as well as all the accessories and
furniture in the room, work perfectly together.

Make sure that you choose your colours in twos
or even threes
One if the best ways to ensure that your colour scheme is
balanced as well as bold is to make sure that you divide the colours you have
chosen into twos or threes in order to balance out all of the colours.
This will ensure that your colour scheme does not have one overwhelming
colour, rather all of the colours will balance each other out and make the
space look beautifully balanced as well as modern and bold!
At the end of the day, trying out some bold colours in your
spaces is a great way of livening up your room, as well as experimenting with
your own decorating confidence and working out what colours you prefer too!
Have a go, after all, bold is beautiful!
